Meet The Team

Lauren (Lucia) Rehorst / BS, LMT, LAc, MSOM

Hello and Welcome!
My first interests in natural health came from my mother (a Registered Nurse), my aunt (a Licensed Massage Therapist), and most importantly from my years as a Certified Veterinary Technician at a holistic animal hospital where we successfully treated scores of beloved pets with Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture.

I started this practice in 2011 with the motivation of helping people have an easier time at life.  Isn't that what its all about?  I'm honored that our therapists and I are able to effect areas of health that aren't well-addressed in the mainstream medical model.  We can help you course-correct minor to medium health issues before they become something more substantial, needing the intervention of a medical doctor.

And if you're already under the supervision of an expert medical team, our complimentary treatment modalities play a synergistically supportive role in keeping you functioning opitimally.

What Lauren does for fun:
-  Cooking and enjoying food

-  Bodybuilding
- Spending quality outdoor time with her family: husband Jon, dogs Shadow and Archie, and horse Ranger
-  Continuing to learn about how to better help you!

Lara Patterson / LAc

"Hello! I’m Lara Patterson. I studied Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine (where Lauren Rehorst and I met and worked together). I am excited to join the team at Live Oak Health, serving to help you to realize your health goals and improve your quality of life. I look forward to meeting you!

In addition to practicing acupuncture, I teach middle school Health, and enjoy working with patients interested in optimal nutrition. The body’s ability to heal itself is truly amazing, especially with gentle assistance from acupuncture and body work to help it rebalance. I find it especially gratifying to be able to help athletes return to their sports and assist people in reducing their pain and stress."

Crystal Goehrs / AA - Billing Specialist
Brookyln Goehrs - Office Assistant

Our amazing office assistant, Crystal, may be the very capable lady answering your call or email, checking you out after a treatment, or scheduling your next appointment.  She is definitely the one making sense of our insurance and VA submissions.  We are so very grateful to have Crystal keeping us organized!
Crystal's daughter, Brooklyn, is a huge help to us! From office assistant to cleaning and so much more, Brooklyn can do it all!

Hi, I'm Crystal.  I'm a born and raised Milwaukee gal who's been married to a techie since 1999. I have 2 adult daughters (both currently students at MATC) and am also the "crazy cat lady mom”! I love various music and musicals, and am also a huge crafter - I do crochet & cross-stitch, and have recently started branching out into resin crafting.

I've worked in various positions in the medical field since 2003.  I have an Associate's degree in Applied Science and am in the process of finishing my Bachelors in Biomedical Sciences.  I started seeing Lauren in 2020 for my own acupuncture & massage sessions and liked it here so much that I just stayed! :)

Jill Brooks - Reception

I started seeing Lauren for massage therapy after I finished chemotherapy for Hodgkin's lymphoma in 2017.  The benefits of Massage therapy were such a gift, but even more so was the friendship and overall health (physical and mental) advice that was given to me.  I have worked in dental and medical offices most of my life and was looking to gradually get back into the workforce. After a visit with Lauren, I asked if she could use some part time help and after that, there was no turning back.

Not only do I enjoy the people I work with, I am honored to work with our Veterans on a daily basis and I look forward to hearing their stories as well as witnessing how our therapists  are improving their lives on a daily basis.  It is truly a blessing to be a part of giving back to these heroes.

I have been an Oak Creek resident for over 30 years, married to a saint for 34 years and have an adult son (most of the time) and my best buddy Gilmore (an 8 yr old Goldendoodle).  I enjoy music of all types, crafting and spending quality time with the people who make me happy.

Jon Rehorst - Office Handiest Man, Treatment Guinea Pig

You might see Lauren's husband Jon around the office.  Jon is able to work his real job remotely, allowing him to spend extra time with his wife and help where needed to keep our clinic running smoothly.  Thank you, honey!
