Meet The Team

Lauren (Lucia) Rehorst / BS, LMT, LAc, MSOM

Hello and Welcome!

My passion for natural health began with my mother (a Registered Nurse), my aunt (a Licensed Massage Therapist), and my years as a Certified Veterinary Technician at a holistic animal hospital, where we used Chinese Medicine and Acupuncture to heal countless pets. In 2011, I founded this practice to make life easier for people—because isn’t that what it’s all about? Alongside our skilled therapists, I’m proud to address health concerns often overlooked by mainstream medicine, helping you correct minor to moderate issues before they grow into disease. If you’re already under expert medical care, our complementary therapies support your optimal functioning.

For Fun: I love cooking, bodybuilding, and spending time at our up-north hobby farm with my husband Jon, our 6 dogs (Arnold, Archie, Charlie, Copper, Eddie, Tramp) and 9 Chickens.

Credentials:
* B.S. Geology (University of New Orleans, 2002)
* Diploma in Massage Therapy & Asian Bodywork Therapy (Pacific * College of Oriental Medicine, 2011)
* B.S. Nutrition & M.S. Oriental Medicine (Midwest College of Oriental Medicine, 2017)
* Board Certified: NCBTMB, AOBTA, NCCAOM

Massage Style: Stretching and pressing with influences from Barnes Myofascial Release, Thai and Chinese medical massage, trigger point, and deep tissue.

Jason / LMT

Jason was born and raised in Wisconsin, and I have been living in the greater Milwaukee area since 2009.

I graduated from Lakeside school of Massage Therapy in 2010. I got into this profession because I like working with my hands and helping people. I also like the fact that every person's needs are different and so every approach to their therapy is unique.  I mostly specialize in Deep Tissue therapy

My favorite type of client is one who is wanting to learn more about the human body and certain things they should be doing on a daily basis to help with their chronic issues.
In my free time I like to play my bass guitar (novice at best) I also like to fish when I'm back in central WI.

Kristine / LMT, CCH

Hi, I’m Kristine!

With over 11 years of comprehensive experience as a Master Massage Therapist, I’m excited to work with you. I hold a BA in Communications from North Texas University and a Therapeutic Massage certificate from Herzing University (Lakeside curriculum). My hands-on techniques include stretching, pin-and-stretch, traction, trigger point release, myofascial release, manual lymphatic massage, contractural release, auriculotherapy, postural assessments, and facial acupressure for sinus relief. At Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine, I mastered Tui Na (Chinese Medical Massage), cupping, and gua sha.

Beyond massage, I’m a Certified Consulting Hypnotist (National Guild of Hypnotists), offering hypnotherapy for age regression, smoking cessation, weight loss, relaxation, anxiety relief, and confidence building. As a Reiki Master and the only Marconic Energy Practitioner in Wisconsin (Levels 1-3), I provide powerful energy work—think Reiki amplified, no touch or talk needed—to release fears and traumas and restore balanced energy.

When I’m Not Helping You: I’m playing with my pet, hiking, listening to audiobooks, or traveling across the U.S. and beyond—always learning more about massage, energy work, and psychology to better serve you!

PJ / LMT

Hello! I’m PJ.

I received my license at The Aveda Institute of Beauty and Wellness in 2016 and have been a practicing massage therapist since. I like to describe my massage as a calming therapeutic style because I believe in homeostasis of the body.

I got into massage because I always had an interest in how bodies work and how resilient they can be. At first, becoming a physical therapist was at the top of my list, but after careful consideration and a pros and cons list later, I decided that my next move would be to become a massage therapist. Little did I know, I would come to love and appreciate my craft as a perfect profession for myself.

I love to help my clients realize the full potential in their body and how wonderful their innate healing abilities can be in regards to post-injury self care.

Techniques that I utilize in my sessions:
- Myofascial release
- Sports massage
- Deep tissue
- Light Swedish massage

Lara / LAc

"Hello! I’m Lara Patterson. I studied Acupuncture and Chinese Medicine at the Midwest College of Oriental Medicine in Racine (where Lauren Rehorst and I met and worked together). I am excited to join the team at Live Oak Health, serving to help you to realize your health goals and improve your quality of life. I look forward to meeting you!

In addition to practicing acupuncture, I teach middle school Health, and enjoy working with patients interested in optimal nutrition. The body’s ability to heal itself is truly amazing, especially with gentle assistance from acupuncture and body work to help it rebalance. I find it especially gratifying to be able to help athletes return to their sports and assist people in reducing their pain and stress."

Lara has lived in Racine for eight years, after having lived in the Madison area for 14. She enjoys teaching skiing and snowboarding in the winter, and working and playing outside in the summers, all with her husband Paul and 4 adult children.

Mario / LMT

Milwaukee born and raised but with gathered experiences of other cities and cultures on Earth.  I've been practicing 14 years with a therapeutic and healing mind in my approach to massage.

"You may not fall asleep during the session, but you'll relax once the work is finished."  I've been called an anomaly in practice... "nothing like I've ever experienced before."  "The therapist for the therapist".

I enjoy lending a hand in the recovery and or bringing relief from unexpected injuries and muscle pain gained in life over time.  Creating an experience of wellness with nurturing intent for the spirit, mind, and body during your service for the journey ahead.
